I'm not sure what the relation is with what you quoted.

Maybe you copied the above sentence from an internal management report,
I dunno <g,d&r>   Anyway AFAIK no one said something like that in this
group. AFAICT the trend in this group is more about, you may lose
(more?) existing users than gain new users, but most-likely these
opinions are/were biased, but then again the future will tell us who
was right.

There was at least one, upon recently, who was willing to spend a
couple of bucks for a buggy/slow x64 compiler, but I don't think he
would be willing to spend the millions of bucks required to change
priorities ;)

You forgot to mention a third group who expressed trust about a
possible future direction of Codegear and/or EMBT, those with SA.  But
I don't have the numbers to determine if they put their trust in a x64
or a X-platform future.
