I think the cross-platform paradigm is one of them, and that's A Good Thing (tm). However, it would appear that it comes at the expense of the needs of the existing customers, and that's A Bad Thing (trademark available).
Believe me, I do understand the problem of existing resources, and furthermore you folks are still having to pay the price of the ravages of the 'Borland era'.
