It sounds like your comserver adapter is not working very well.

You could enable dispatch logging in the TApdWinsockPort. When an error occurs you can close the port (which dumps the log to disk) then you can verify what your application is actually sending.
When you send a command to the device, what is your timeout duration? With TCP/IP there can be small delays (search for "Nagle algorithm" to find information) so maybe you just need to increase your timeout?
